Vicksburg Bulldogs win Back to Back Wolverine Conference Championships with a 2 game sweep of Plainwell

Vicksburg Softball takes the Wolverine Conference Championship with a 16-7 and 14-0 sweep of Plainwell. The bats were hot for both games with Raquel Rice going 7 for 9 scoring 7 runs for the night with a grand slam homerun in the top of the 7th inning to slam the door shut on Plainwell. Carlie Kudary was 5 for 8 for the night scoring 5 runs and Shaidan Knapp was 3 for 4 scoring 6 runs and drawing 5 walks. Every Bulldog player was able to get a hit with Tailynn Knapp getting 3, Grace Stock getting 2, Kali Yant getting 2, and Keagan Kelley getting 2 as well. Rylie Richter, Camille Wadley, Lauren Goertler, and Remi O’Neill each got a hit. 

In the circle the first game saw Kali Yant pitch all 7 innings in the rain to strike out 4 and get the win in the 16-7 opener. Rylie Richter took the circle for the second game and threw a 5 inning shutout striking out 3. Both pitchers took command in the circle and threw great game in less than ideal conditions.
