June 24–HOWE — To celebrate a passion for classic cars and stunning design, Howe Military Academy, a college-preparatory boarding school for grades 7-12, will host the first-annual Howe Classic car show and barbeque on Sunday, June 25, from 12 — 4 p.m.
This public car show will feature iconic muscle cars from the U.S., as well as a number of European models. Registration is $20 per display vehicle, and there is no charge for spectators.
Vehicles on display will be judged by Ed Welburn, retired General Motors vice president of Global Design, who will determine “Best of Show.”
“During my 44 years at General Motors, I learned the importance of leadership — how to lead and how to follow a good leader. I am impressed by Howe Military Academy’s emphasis on teaching leadership skills that will surely benefit students throughout their lives,” said Welburn. “Anytime I can spend viewing and talking about classic cars is a good time, and I am eager to see the field of vehicles at the Howe Classic,” he added.
The Howe Classic is an opportunity to raise awareness of Howe Military Academy and bring the local community together for a fun afternoon of cars and fellowship on its beautiful campus.
