E3 2017 Schedule: PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Bethesda, EA and Ubisoft conference times

Beyond Good and Evil 2

A new Beyond Good Evil game has been in the works for quite a long time and according to a recent report by Laura Dale of Let’s Play Video Games, when it does arrive the game will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch for 12 months.

However, don’t expect to see anything at E3 this year as the game’s director has pretty much ruled out any such reveal.

Beyond Good Evil 2 won’t be at E3 2017 but will likely appear sometime later this year, if recent comments from series creator Michel Ancel are any indication.

When asked on Instagram if fans will see any new footage from the game, series creator Michel Ancel replied to say:

“Mhhh, not sure that E3 would be the best place to showcase BGE2 but we’re working on the game so sometime this year, you should hear about it!”

Shenmue 3

The game was first announced just under two years ago at E3 2015 on the Sony PlayStation conference stage and is Shenmue III is scheduled for a December 2017 launch on PlayStation 4 and PC – so you might expect the game to show off something (anything, really) at E3 2017.

But that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen as Developer Ys Net announced that Shenmue III won’t be making an appearance at E3 2017, telling fans and backers:

“We have also been receiving questions from our backers regarding our plans to participate in upcoming game shows. While our schedule has yet to be finalised, we will be devoting June to game development and as a result, will unfortunately not be participating in any game shows. On the other hand, we look forward to bringing you our monthly updates and hope you do too”

Life is Strange 2

After an impressive debut, developers at Dontnod Entertainment last month confirmed that a sequel to Life is Strange is in the works.

However, Eurogamer reached out to find out how soon we might expect some information about the game and whether the team would be attending E3.

But according to the game’s publisher, Square Enix, the team won’t be at E3, so we might as well rule out any such reveal for at least another few months when Gamescom roles around.
