Car show benefit held for family of Richardson sisters

A benefit car show was held in honor of sisters Karli and Kelsey Richardson on Saturday at the Memory Lane Museum in Mooresville. Organized by friends of the Richardson family, all of the proceeds were donated to the girls’ parents to assist with substantial bills remaining from funeral costs and missed work. The Mooresville sisters were killed in a car crash April 14 in Arizona. The car show was hosted by Bryan’s Heating Air and food was provided by Grillzilla. Memory Lane Museum allowed the use of its facilities without charge. Here, Elaine Hocking, the sisters’ grandmother, stands next to her 1949 Ford F1 at the benefit car show. The girls loved riding in the back of it when they were little, Hocking said.
